Doha (Introductory Couplets)

जय श्री हरि विष्णु भगवान की।
जय लक्ष्मीपति सुख समान की॥
Jai Shri Hari Vishnu Bhagwan Ki,
Jai Lakshmipati Sukh Saman Ki.
Victory to Lord Hari, Vishnu, the divine god. Victory to the consort of Lakshmi, the source of all happiness.

नमो नारायण सच्चिदानंद।
सदा करो भक्तन के प्रेम प्रचंड॥
Namo Narayan Sachchidanand,
Sada Karo Bhaktan Ke Prem Prachand.
I bow to Narayana, the embodiment of truth, consciousness, and bliss. Always shower your devotees with immense love.

Chaupai (Main Verses)

जय जय जय श्री हरि विष्णु देवा।
सदा करो भक्तन की सेवा॥
Jai Jai Jai Shri Hari Vishnu Deva,
Sada Karo Bhaktan Ki Seva.
Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hari, Vishnu. Always serve your devotees.

तुम हो प्रभु सृष्टि के पालक।
जग के स्वामी, दुख के हारक॥
Tum Ho Prabhu Srishti Ke Palak,
Jag Ke Swami, Dukh Ke Haarak.
You are the preserver of creation, the Lord of the world, and the remover of sorrows.

शंख चक्र गदा पद्मधारी।
चार भुजा बलशाली अपारी॥
Shankh Chakra Gada Padmadhari,
Char Bhuja Balshali Apaari.
You hold the conch, discus, mace, and lotus, with four mighty arms of infinite strength.

पीताम्बर धारण करत सोहें।
लक्ष्मी संग तुम्हारी छवि मोहें॥
Peetambar Dharan Karat Sohein,
Lakshmi Sang Tumhari Chhavi Mohen.
You wear yellow garments that look splendid, and your charm with Lakshmi enchants all.

क्षीर सागर में शेषनाग शय्या।
तहाँ विश्राम करत प्रभु मैया॥
Kshir Sagar Mein Sheshnaag Shaiyya,
Tahan Vishram Karat Prabhu Maiyya.
You rest on Sheshnaag in the ocean of milk, along with Mother Lakshmi.

गरुड़ वाहन तुम्हरे प्यारे।
सदा करत भक्तन के न्यारे॥
Garud Vahan Tumhare Pyare,
Sada Karat Bhaktan Ke Nyare.
Garuda, your vehicle, is dear to you, and you always favor your devotees uniquely.

तुम्हरे नाम अनंत अपारा।
नारायण हरि मुरारी संहारा॥
Tumhare Naam Anant Apaara,
Narayan Hari Murari Sanhara.
Your names are infinite and boundless—Narayan, Hari, Murari, the destroyer of evil.

दश अवतार तुम्हरे जग में।
सुर नर मुनि गावें सब मग में॥
Dash Avtar Tumhare Jag Mein,
Sur Nar Muni Gaven Sab Mag Mein.
Your ten avatars are renowned in the world, sung by gods, humans, and sages on every path.

मत्स्य कूर्म वराह तुम्हारी।
नरसिंह वामन रूप न्यारी॥
Matsya Kurma Varah Tumhari,
Narsingh Vaman Roop Nyari.
Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, and Vaman—your forms are extraordinary.

परशुराम राम और कृष्णा।
कल्कि रूप धर प्रभु जग दीक्षा॥
Parshuram Ram Aur Krishna,
Kalki Roop Dhar Prabhu Jag Deeksha.
Parshuram, Rama, Krishna, and in the future, Kalki—you guide the world in these forms.

राम रूप धर सीता प्यारी।
रावण मारा लंका सारी॥
Ram Roop Dhar Sita Pyari,
Ravan Mara Lanka Sari.
In the form of Rama, with beloved Sita, you killed Ravana and destroyed Lanka.

कृष्ण रूप धर कंस संहारा।
कौरव सेना दुर्योधन मारा॥
Krishn Roop Dhar Kans Sanhara,
Kaurav Sena Duryodhan Mara.
In the form of Krishna, you killed Kansa and defeated Duryodhana and the Kaurava army.

तुम हो दयालु भक्तन हितकारी।
सदा करत दुखन के संहारी॥
Tum Ho Dayalu Bhaktan Hitkari,
Sada Karat Dukhan Ke Sanhari.
You are compassionate and benevolent to devotees, always removing their sorrows.

विष्णु भक्ति जो नर मन लावे।
सो सुख सम्पति सदा पावे॥
Vishnu Bhakti Jo Nar Man Laave,
So Sukh Sampati Sada Paave.
Those who devote their minds to Vishnu attain eternal happiness and prosperity.

तुम्हरे चरणन में जो ध्यावे।
सो नर परम पद को पावे॥
Tumhare Charanan Mein Jo Dhyave,
So Nar Param Pad Ko Paave.
Those who meditate at your feet attain the highest spiritual state.

हरि ॐ नमो नारायण गावे।
सो नर भवसागर तर जावे॥
Hari Om Namo Narayan Gaave,
So Nar Bhavsagar Tar Jaave.
Those who sing “Hari Om Namo Narayan” cross the ocean of worldly existence.

तुम्हरे नाम जपत जो नित्य।
सो नर पावत परम पुण्य कृत्य॥
Tumhare Naam Japat Jo Nitya,
So Nar Pavat Param Punya Kritya.
Those who chant your name daily earn the highest merit.

भक्त प्रह्लाद तुम्हेंहि पुकारा।
हिरण्यकशिपु को तुमने मारा॥
Bhakt Prahlad Tumhenhi Pukara,
Hiranyakashipu Ko Tumne Mara.
Devotee Prahlad called out to you, and you killed Hiranyakashipu (as Narasimha).

गज को तुमने संकट तारा।
दुष्ट मगर को मार गिराया॥
Gaj Ko Tumne Sankat Tara,
Dusht Magar Ko Maar Giraya.
You saved the elephant Gajendra from danger by killing the evil crocodile.

द्रौपदी की लाज बचाई।
चीर बढ़ाकर शर्म मिटाई॥
Draupadi Ki Laaj Bachai,
Cheer Badhakar Sharm Mitai.
You protected Draupadi’s honor by extending her cloth, removing her shame.

अम्बरीष की भक्ति देखी।
दुर्वासा की शक्ति हर ली॥
Ambarish Ki Bhakti Dekhi,
Durvasa Ki Shakti Har Li.
Seeing Ambarish’s devotion, you nullified the curse of Durvasa.

तुम्हरे भजन से सुख पावे।
भक्तन को सदा सुखदायी भाये॥
Tumhare Bhajan Se Sukh Paave,
Bhaktan Ko Sada Sukhdayi Bhaye.
Through your devotion, devotees find happiness; you always bring them joy.

विष्णु सहस्रनाम जो गावे।
सो नर परम गति को पावे॥
Vishnu Sahasranam Jo Gaave,
So Nar Param Gati Ko Paave.
Those who sing the Vishnu Sahasranam attain the highest liberation.

हरि कथा जो सुनत सुहाये।
सो नर विष्णु लोक को पाये॥
Hari Katha Jo Sunat Suhaye,
So Nar Vishnu Lok Ko Paye.
Those who listen to Hari’s stories with devotion reach Vishnu’s divine abode.

तुम हो जग के आधार स्वामी।
सदा करत भक्तन के कामी॥
Tum Ho Jag Ke Adhar Swami,
Sada Karat Bhaktan Ke Kaami.
You are the foundation of the world, O Lord, always fulfilling the desires of devotees.

तुम्हरे दर्शन से सुख पावे।
भक्तन को सदा सिर नवावे॥
Tumhare Darshan Se Sukh Paave,
Bhaktan Ko Sada Sir Navave.
Devotees find happiness by seeing you and always bow their heads to you.

हरि भक्ति जो मन में बसावे।
सो नर दुख दरिद्र मिटावे॥
Hari Bhakti Jo Man Mein Basave,
So Nar Dukh Daridr Mitave.
Those who enshrine Hari’s devotion in their hearts remove sorrow and poverty.

तुम्हरे चरणन में जो लीन।
सो नर पावत परम प्रवीण॥
Tumhare Charanan Mein Jo Leen,
So Nar Pavat Param Praveen.
Those who are absorbed in your feet become supremely wise.

विष्णु मंत्र जो जपत सुहाये।
सो नर सिद्धि फल को पाये॥
Vishnu Mantra Jo Japat Suhaye,
So Nar Siddhi Phal Ko Paye.
Those who chant Vishnu’s mantras with devotion attain siddhi (spiritual success).

तुम हो प्रभु करुणा के सागर।
भक्तन के रक्षक बल आगर॥
Tum Ho Prabhu Karuna Ke Sagar,
Bhaktan Ke Rakshak Bal Aagar.
You are the ocean of compassion, the protector of devotees, and a reservoir of strength.

तुम्हरे नाम से भय भागे।
संकट सब मिटे सुख जागे॥
Tumhare Naam Se Bhay Bhage,
Sankat Sab Mite Sukh Jage.
Your name drives away fear, removes all troubles, and awakens happiness.

हरि हरि बोलत जो नर गावे।
सो नर परम पद को पावे॥
Hari Hari Bolat Jo Nar Gaave,
So Nar Param Pad Ko Paave.
Those who sing “Hari Hari” attain the highest spiritual state.

तुम्हरे भक्तन की रक्षा करो।
सदा सुखी जीवन को भरो॥
Tumhare Bhaktan Ki Raksha Karo,
Sada Sukhi Jeevan Ko Bharo.
Protect your devotees and fill their lives with eternal happiness.

तुम हो प्रभु सर्वज्ञ दानी।
सदा करो भक्तन की रानी॥
Tum Ho Prabhu Sarvagya Daani,
Sada Karo Bhaktan Ki Raani.
You are the all-knowing, generous Lord, always fulfilling the wishes of devotees.

विष्णु चरण जो शीश नवावे।
सो नर सब सुख को पावे॥
Vishnu Charan Jo Sheesh Navave,
So Nar Sab Sukh Ko Paave.
Those who bow at Vishnu’s feet attain all happiness.

तुम्हरे दर्शन से पाप कटे।
भक्तन के सब दुख मिटे॥
Tumhaare darshan se paap kat.
Bhakton ke sab duhkh mite.

Sins are destroyed by your darshan.

All the sorrows of the devotees are removed.

दोहा (Doha)

एक पाठ जन नित करे, विष्णु देव चालीस।
चारि पदार्थ नवहुं निधि, देयम द्वारिकाधीश॥

श्री हरि विष्णु कृपा करो, भक्तन के काज।
सुख शांति समृद्धि दे, पूर्ण करो सब काज॥
